SONiA by Roy CoxFrom the Opera House in Sydney, to the Open House in Jerusalem, SONiA (Rutstein aka disappear fear) writes and performs captivating love songs and confronts the hypocrisies and biases of our culture with a positive message of openness and optimism.

Having performed in Israel/ Palestine and in many parts of the world, SONiA's Judaic roots live in the colors of  her songs and paintings.   SONiA has performed in 16 countries and has just as many award winning Albums to her credit. She has received the GLAMA Award for Female Artist of the Year, Best Band, Best Song, WAMA Award for Best Vocalist, Out Music Award for OUTstanding World Music CD, OUTstanding Single, Best in Blues Finalist for IMA Awards, and Finalist for the Telluride Song Competition. 

SONiA is a member of the Grammy Foundation for the Recording Industry of America and Amnesty International. 

Her talent as a guitar player led the Santa Cruz Guitar Company to create a SONiA Model which has been sold in the US, Germany and Australia.

Singing in Hebrew, Spanish, Arabic and English, her powerful honesty touches people of varied social and ethnic backgrounds, especially those moving towards a positive world vision.

SONiA’s independent record label, disappear records, donates 18% of every download to the United Nations World Food Programme.

Ansel MatthewsANSEL MATTHEWS, a veteran of the New York City Music scene and founding member of the "Fast Folk" movement, has been blending musical flavors for over twenty five years. With his nylon string guitar, three-octave voice and honest philosophical insights, he writes songs steeped in deep simplicity, guaranteed to uplift your heart and touch your soul. Matthews honed his craft sharing the stage with acts such as Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega and Pete Seeger and playing in jazz/world music clubs as well as folk/rock clubs. Ansel has toured the world as a backup singer (Gloria Gaynor band) and has showcased his music in festivals throughout North America.

EllisIf you haven’t yet caught her engaging and disarming live show, take a chance on ELLIS and you’ll become a lifelong fan. Her fans describe her as not only a talented folk musician, but also as a supportive friend who offers encouraging words and humor alongside her compelling songs. She leaves audiences better than she finds them, with softened edges & opened hearts. With songs that capture deep wisdom as well as a childlike playfulness and joy, Ellis’ music is being spread across the globe by fans who are so moved that they have to share it others. 

A native of Texas, Ellis moved to Minneapolis at the age of 16, where she quickly built a local following that blossomed into a nationwide presence, with extensive touring and seven albums released in the last sixteen years. In addition to selling more than 40,000 copies of her CDs independently, Ellis has accrued a wealth of accomplishments including winning the 2011 Midwest Regional Round of the Mountain Stage New Song contest, and the 2009 Just Plain Folks Best Female Singer Songwriter Award. She also received Top 5 recognition in the Telluride Troubadour Song Contest and the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Song Contest was voted "Most Wanted To Return" at both the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and Sisters Folk Festival. 

 

Bob KatzBOB KATZ is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter whose pungent, gritty, and quirky songs bring credit to the city of his birth.  As a teenager, Bob performed with the vocal trio The Special K’s, once opening for legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch. Later, he had a long stint with the Congregation Beth Simchat Torah Chorus, led by renowned choral director Joyce Rosensweig. In 2007, Bob had a leading role in the off-off Broadway world premiere of "beTwixt, beTween, & beTwain," an original musical composed and adapted by Danny Ashkenasi. An ardent supporter and frequent performer at the Christopher Street Coffeehouse open mic, Bob is a member of the Gotham Songwriters Circle and recently completed his debut album, When Good Mangos Go Bad, produced by Pete Kennedy.
